Growing up in the Rhineland-Palatinate Westerwald, I was allowed to do my military service in the medical service of the Bundeswehr after graduating from a humanistic grammar school. It was there that I came into contact with medicine for the first time and immediately enjoyed it. With the training to become a paramedic, I gained further experience that confirmed my decision to become a doctor.
My studies took me to the University Medical Center in Mainz with stays in Austria and Switzerland. As part of my academic career, I did my doctorate in radiology with magna cum laude. After completing my studies, there was only one way for me and it led me to surgery.
So I started my specialist training (Common Trunk for Surgery) in general surgery and in the field of trauma surgery and orthopedics at Ev. St. Martin Abbey in Koblenz, which belongs to the Mittelrhein Community Clinic.
In the years that followed, I was able to get to know the wide range of surgery at several locations of the Mittelrhein Community Hospital, and there I quickly recognized my love for plastic surgery. So I switched to the relevant department. Thanks to the full opportunity for further training, I was able to get to know the entire spectrum of plastic surgery. Various stays abroad, e.g. in Spain and the USA, allowed me to expand my knowledge and skills.
In 2019 I was appointed senior physician for plastic surgery at the community clinic in Koblenz. In the following year I successfully passed the examination to become a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery.
In my free time I do a lot of sports and like to travel. My other hobbies are playing the piano and hiking.
